La squadra è decimata tra infortuni (Manolas, Pellegrini, De Rossi e Under) e squalifiche (Fazio, Kolarov e Dzeko). Le assenze colpiscono soprattutto i centrali difensivi. Se o per infortunio o per ragioni tecniche, non fossimo sicuri nemmeno di Marcano, tra Florenzi, Karsdorp e Santon, sceglierei l’olandese come centrale difensivo, anche se poi GIUSTAMENTE l’ultima parola spetta a Claudio Ranieri. E’ importante vincere per la classifica ed è possibile vincere, per i nostri giocatori residui che sono molto di qualità.

L’Empoli di Iachini ha mantenuto il carattere di quella di Andreazzoli: spesso abbastanza spavalda da voler comandare il gioco. E’ importante che i nostri centrali di centrocampo non si limitino a contenere e ad accompagnare il giocatore avversario con la palla, ma bisogna mettere il piede nei contrasti. Non possiamo permettere che l’avversario, partendo dalla difesa, arrivi sempre in zona offensiva. Possiamo e dobbiamo recuperare più palle a centrocampo. Anche il pressing non deve essere individuale, ma dobbiamo correre collettivamente e velocemente verso l’empolese. Dobbiamo poi soprattutto stare concentrati nella fase difensiva per poi ripartire velocemente e attaccare sui punti deboli degli azzurri toscani che vado a illustrarvi.

L’Empoli gioca con un 352 che spesso diventa 442. Attenzione a Di Lorenzo (terzino/ala destra) che è molto bravo in fase offensiva e forma la linea di 4 in fase difensiva quando si mettono col 442, proponendo gioco col dialogo con Acquah che si sposta sul lato destro. Veseli è adattato come centrale difensivo destro e Dell’Orco ha come attitudine più il lavoro da terzino sinistro che da centrale difensivo sinistro (per questo ho messo in campo l’Empoli in modo che si possa leggere come un 352 o come un 442). E’ importante spingere su entrambe le fasce, specialmente sulla loro sinistra (nostra destra) dove sia Dell’Orco che Pasqual non hanno grande attitudine difensiva. Bennacer è un playmaker di qualità. Farias (destro) è la seconda punta, ma è soprattutto un’ala. Svaria liberamente sia sulla fascia sinistra che sulla fascia destra. Stiamo attenti a Krunic /destro) quando attacca senza palla, soprattutto sui cross bassi. Caputo (destro, ma bravo anche col sinistro) è la prima punta. E’ pericoloso soprattutto sul cross basso. Attenzione a Silvestre sui calci piazzati.
