Benevento – Roma 0-0

A whole series of expedients to equalize by Benevento. They really make me sick. Benevento showed the worst of Italian football. Showy simulations often whistled for free kicks by Pairetto. Ridiculous wastes of time for injured players who later ran back to the pitch (including the ex-Roma player and Roman Barba who will have learned the tricks of football, but as a defender is scarce). Very hard fouls and consequent protests. Lapadula, Schiattarella and also the Belgian Foulen who as soon as they felt touched, gasped on the ground in the throes of a stroke. Truly the worst of the worst.

Roma used the extra man for more than 30 minutes for the red card in Glik. Yet, except in the last 10 minutes, we have never shot on goal (except for a shot from outside by Pellegrini who could serve Borjita in front of the goalkeeper on that occasion). The close match with Braga and injuries cannot be an excuse. We did too little to win.

Starting with Borja instead of Dzeko was a mistake especially against Benevento who were all in defense. You didn't need a striker playing on the offside line, but a big player to fight on half-chances in the box.

Inter won the Scudetto match with Milan (our next opponent in Serie A) 0-3. Tomorrow Juve will probably defeat Crotone, so we are 15 games from the end at -9 from Inter's first place and fuorth with +1 over Lazio and Atalanta (therefore in full battle for the Champions League). Now it is essential to make a streak of victories even by winning against the bests.

First we must be ready for the return with Braga. It is a delicate match because qualification is not yet certain, but we have set good conditions. Let's go win. Daje Roma!
