Quando che comincia la partita (When the match begins)

We are therefore at the first official friendly, which will be played tomorrow at 6 pm against Kaiserslautern (live on DAZN), after two training matches against Trastevere and Unipomezia.

These friendlies serve to test the new signings (El Aynaoui and Ferguson) and the youth players (Cherubini and Mannini).

There are still a couple of areas to sort out. I'm referring in particular to the left flank. Unless we want to give our all to Hermoso and Salah Eddine, otherwise we need a left central back left and a left winger, considering that Kumbulla is suited to playing as a left central back, being right-footed. Then, assuming we want to keep Kumbulla, who has the characteristics to appeal to Gasp, because otherwise we also need a right central back.

I've lined up a French-speaking midfield with El Aynaoui and Konè, but I don't rule out the possibility that the ever-present Bryan Cristante could always find a starting spot.

We're pretty well covered in the rest of the roles. Even the left attacking midfielder position can be played by a variety of players.

We therefore find ourselves at the start of the season with many situations still to be resolved, but with a solid foundation.

Likewise, on the geopolitical level, there are many shameful situations, such as Russia's invasion of Ukraine and even more shameful the massacres in Gaza perpetrated by Israel, which has no qualms about using hunger as a weapon of war and killing the poor wretches queuing for humanitarian aid.

Just like Roma, there is a base, of which I am a part, that continues to demand humanity from the world, especially from the powerful of the earth.

From an economic standpoint, Trump is demonstrating great skill in US negotiations following the tariffs, finding agreements in which he is the winner.

In some ways, this is good news for the world because it means the US will not go into economic crisis as many economists, including me, predicted.

The tariffs will certainly have consequences on inflation in the US and on Americans' choices in supermarkets, so Trump must be reasonable and ease the tariffs.

There's no point in annoying BoA and BlackRock, who support the American economy. The consequence could be Trump's impeachment.

The populism that is spreading around the world also has positive aspects, but it must be mixed with the rationality of moderate parties.

In Trump's case, we need the rationality of old-style Republicans, just as in Italy Fratelli d'Italia gets along better with Forza Italia than with the Nazis of the League.

Likewise, it's right that the PD wants to lead a diverse center-left to the elections, but this doesn't mean completely embracing the ideas of the M5S and AVS, as happened when it abandoned the SalvaMilano law, leaving the Milan PD alone in its just struggles.

We are in a period of change for geopolitics, with peoples asking their leaders for peace, for the economy, where the ideas of globalization and free trade seem to have been set aside, and for Rome, which still needs to adjust many sectors.

If we use rationality, the outcome will be a better world and a better Roma.

Daje Roma!
