Pisa-Roma 0-1. Roma as the personification of freedom and therefore the reason for living.

Perhaps the most famous figure from a city that has written history for so long as Pisa is Galileo Galilei. The inventor of the telescope, he discovered the motion of the Earth and invented the scientific method that still forms the basis of various scientific subjects today. He was tried by the Holy Inquisition for his then-revolutionary ideas, and in the end he recanted his beliefs, not sparing himself, however, before leaving the courtroom, saying: "And yet it moves." Although perhaps this is just a legend.

This leads one to ask whether there are any valid reasons as goals for one's life. Freedom is certainly a valid reason, as the partisans taught, as the Kurdish struggle against the so-called Islamic State taught, and as the Ukrainians, invaded and bombed by Russian imperialists, still teach.

For me, fascism cannot be considered a political faith. Fascism is the antithesis of all political faiths, because it oppresses the faiths of others. Sandro Pertini, Partisan, Socialist, President of the Republic.

How right it is to be against the Israeli government at this time and to forcefully declare that Israel is committing genocide. There is no inconsistency in being on the side of the Ukrainians, Iranian women, and at the same time on the side of the Palestinians. It means always being against the oppressors. Against injustices against anyone, anywhere in the world, as Che Guevara said. It means being against imperialism and fascism in its various forms, such as Russian authoritarianism, Netanyahu's, sectarianism against the Palestinians, and against the cultural subjugation of women in Iran.

It's right today to say "Not in my name" to the self-proclaimed Roma supporters who use Roma to spread their fascist and therefore despicable ideas. It's a duty to say it for Roma's anti-fascist supporters, like me, who comprise the majority of Roma fans and are ashamed to be lumped in with those who praised fascism in the shadow of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

I'm very happy that all the Roma fans were together behind the same banner.

The pisisti They were a tough obstacle. Especially in the first half when they had the best chances. In the second half, Dybala was decisive as a left winger. Playing a left-footed player on the left isn't recommended in any football manual. But Paulo is such a champion that he played a beautiful ball to Ferguson (an excellent performance), who then passed it to Soule. Mati fired a first-time shot against the post to the right of Semper, the Galilean goalkeeper, catching him on the counterattack.

Roma dominated the second half and came close to doubling their lead. Roma protested on a couple of occasions. With the score at 0-0, the Pisa defender's handball in a 3-on-1 situation seemed very clear to me, but referee Collu didn't see the need for a penalty. We'll see if the same decision is made in other matches, in similar situations.

We're heading into the break with a perfect score. A situation that's hard to hope for, even for an optimist like me. The lads were humble and followed Gasp's teachings from the first minute. Gasp's Roma is even better than the last one under Ranieri. They're pressing harder, as Lazio supporter De Grandis (sorry for him) pointed out on Sky Sport, while maintaining defensive solidity at all times.

Just as Putinism (or perhaps it's better to say Lavrovism, after Lavrov, the extremely powerful Foreign Minister) refers to the USSR only for imperialism and not for domestic policies favoring the poorer classes, so too Italian fascism aped the Roman Empire only to achieve the same level of dominance in the modern world. But the Roman Empire achieved that dominance precisely because it respected political, religious, cultural, and sexual freedoms. And this is also why fascism failed.

Rome is not merely a geographical entity. Rome is not circumscribed by rivers, mountains, or seas. Rome is not a question of race, blood, or religion. Rome is an ideal. Rome is the most sublime personification of freedom and law ever achieved by mankind. Cicero

Daje Roma!
