Roma-Inter 0-1. Viktoria Plzen. Now head.

Now is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves or look for a scapegoat to crucify. What's needed now is a clear head, focus, and rationality. We lost to Inter because they made fewer mistakes. Credit to them. They're more accustomed to these games that feel like finals, and in finals, the one who makes fewer mistakes usually wins. Congratulations. But we still have some excellent cards to play.

Now, however, the Olimpico will transform into a European stadium because we will host Plzen in a match in which we will start as strong favorites and we need to win to regain our breath in the top eight, who automatically qualify for the round of 16.

Just as Roma must use its head and therefore rationality, so must Europe, which will also be the next field on which we will play. If a Russian drone or a Russian military aircraft intrudes into Europe, it is not imperative to shoot it down. Our soldiers and our pilots know very well how to behave in this situation, and everything can be resolved without violence. As, indeed, is already done By italian airplane and as repeated the good NATO's General Secetary, Mark Rutte.

This is also an important signal for the Kremlin: Europe does not want escalation; rather, if possible, it would like to initiate a constructive dialogue for peace in Ukraine as well. And if the Kremlin is tired of the conflict in Ukraine, it must talk to Trump's US. Peace is made when you talk to the other side at war. Perhaps not necessarily directly, as happened with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but through mediators, such as the US and China. Ukraine certainly cannot give up ground, but positions must be frozen. If, for example, the strategic point of Kramatorsk were to be ceded, Russia would then have a clear path to the rest of Ukraine.

Dialogue between the US and China is essential for world peace, but also for easing the trade war. Trump announced 100% tariffs on Chinese products, but it's the usual bazooka attack before sitting down at the table. Trump is also very reasonable when negotiations begin. This could lead to a win-win solution to the trade war and world peace, particularly through a peace agreement in Ukraine.

Italy, too, must apply rationality to its electoral and, therefore, political system. The first-past-the-post system has led to the increasingly radicalization of the conflict. Alessandro De Angelis, a journalist for La Stampa on la7, noted, "Continuing to excite the fans has resulted in the stands emptying." Abstentionism has increased significantly. The more moderate and consequently more rational forces have significantly decreased in the vote.

The reality is that Italy, being a Latin American country, has a very diverse mentality. Given only two choices, many people don't vote. It's also true that stability has been gained, but the price has been pineapple pizza: the current majority includes a strongly pro-European party like Forza Italia, a party that is both nationalist and pro-European, but outside the majority in the EU Parliament, like Fratelli d'Italia, and an anti-European party close to Russia, like the fascist League. The picture is not much different in the opposition. If the first-past-the-post system is to be maintained, it is imperative that the entire governing majority have a unified foreign policy.

Perhaps it's wrong to return to the party system and abandon the coalition system, because that's how we've achieved stable governments. But it's legitimate to demand that the coalition that then forms the government have a clear direction in both domestic and international policy.

Concern about Russian imperialism is deeply felt in Eastern European countries, and it is precisely an Eastern European team, specifically a Czech one, that will be our next opponent at the Olimpico: Viktoria Plzen.

Plzen is the modern birthplace of beer; in fact, Pilsener, which literally means "inhabitant of Plzen," is a German synonym for beer. Plzen is just a few kilometers from the border with Germany, specifically Bavaria.

Before the break, Viktoria Plzen, under coach Miroslav Koubek, was sixth in the Czech league (Chance League). As a result, he was dismissed and assistant coach Marek Baros was promoted to head coach.

Eastern teams generally play man-to-man, so it's difficult to read the formation because players change positions depending on who they're marking. It could be seen as a 3412...
… Or 4231. These two different readings are due to the tactical predispositions of the wingers. Memic, the right full-back, is very attacking, and in fact he plays right wing here. So Tsimikas or Rensch must defend well but also attack him. Souarè, the left full-back, is primarily defensive, and in fact he's deployed at left back, so it's important for Wesley to have a great game to get past him. Adu is deployed left wing because it's his favorite side to cut inside and shoot with his right foot, which will be taken by our right central defender, who could be Celik.

They have several talented forwards. Ladra and Visnsky are very technical attacking midfielders. Even the striker Vydra, who also plays as an attacking midfielder, isn't bad. Durosinmi is very powerful and 1.90 meters tall (a position where Ndicka can also be deployed to give Mancini a rest). Adu is very quick.

To understand how to approach Plzen, it's appropriate to conclude this article with a study of the defeat against Inter. The impression is that Inter entered this match better. They were in better physical condition: they always got to the ball first. They were more aggressive: they always won the tackles. And they were more cunning: we often won the ball back, but Massa would call a foul.

‘6 Bonny

As in most finals (and this was a final), the match was won not by the one who performed something amazing, but by the one who made the fewest mistakes. Ultimately, the match can be explained by Bonny's decisive goal. Ndicka was unsure whether to follow him or play him offside, Celik unfortunately kept him onside, and Bonny beat Svilar at the near post in a situation where the striker had a better chance of winning (one-on-one with the goalkeeper), but with our great goalkeeper being beaten at the near post.

There were also tactical errors. Gasperini wants to field his best starting eleven and would like to play Dybala and Soulé at the same time, but this isn't tactically possible. The Dybala center-forward strategy, or, if you prefer, a false 9, didn't work. Dovbyk is much better, even if the Ukrainian continues to make too many mistakes when finishing. A rotation between Dybala and Soulé at right forward is possible. I think we've already addressed this issue.

Overall, we played well, even creating two or three chances to equalize. We don't have time to feel sorry for ourselves. We need to get back on our feet immediately. Character, personality, intelligence, concentration, and rationality will build world peace, a future Italian government that is coherent, including in foreign policy, and will give us the strength to beat Plzen, thanks also to the support of the magical Olimpico.

Daje Roma!
