Midtjylland. Cremonese-Roma 1-3. We haven't done a damn thing.

We return from Cremona with a great victory. We've consolidated our identity. But it's still a long way off. We haven't accomplished a damn thing yet. Europe also has many issues where it's absent (like the peace negotiations for Ukraine) or lagging behind (like the common defense). Now Roma will host the Danish side Midtjylland, a worthy opponent, at the Olimpico.

So we dive back into Europe. The situation is still very complex. We're in the playoff zone, but we're strong enough to finish in the top eight. To do that, we'll have to prove it on Thursday by defeating a great team like Mdtjylland, currently leading the Europa League.

While the Central Jutland club is doing well in the Europa League, the same cannot be said in the Danish league, where they are second behind the surprising Aarhus. They play an attacking game with a 4231 formation, which can also be interpreted as a 3421 formation, with Bech-Sorensen as the third central defender, Mbabu and Gogorza in the deepest midfield.

Mike Tullberg (an emerging coach on the world stage) fields Midtjylland with a 4231 that often becomes a 442 with Cho alongside Franculino.

Franculino is the lone striker, which is a tough battle for our Evan Ndicka. He's excellent at dribbling with both feet and laying off for Cho or the other attackers.

They defend by man on the corner.

They can generate play on the right flank with the Swiss right-back, Mbabu, who will be tackled by our El Sha, and Osorio, who Wesley will have to play against. But they can also generate play on the left flank with Bak (Bech-Sorensen is a sort of additional center back) and Gogorza, who Soulé and Celik will have to do a good job against. The wingers (Osorio and Gogorza) are inverted footed (Osorio is left-footed), so they should be inclined to move toward the center to shoot or cross.

The main playmaker is Bravo (in name and in fact) or Castillo, who will have to be replaced by Pisilli, who has been dominant in the Under-21 national team.

We're approaching this tough match after a great win in Cremona. It wasn't an easy game. A great Svilar denied Bonazzoli's brilliant shot early on. Then came Matias's fine goal after a move started by Wesley. Baldanzi did well as a false 9. Svilar also did well (and was lucky) on Vandeputte.

In the second half, the Grigiorossi attacked desperately, and we punished them on the counterattack. I'm very happy with Ferguson's goal, and I'd still field him on Thursday, perhaps going for crosses and attacking the defenders, who are naturally in the best position in this situation. Wesley also scored a deserved goal (excellent performance). At the end, we let up a bit, and Folino scored from a corner.

We're first, but we haven't done a damn thing yet. It's important now to get going in a very important European game. Europe must play a leading role. Even in the peace negotiations for Ukraine. Two years ago previewed Trump's victory and I called for a serious program for a strong European policy and common defense. We still haven't accomplished a damn thing.

Daje Roma!
