L’avversario di sabato: il Chievo

La Roma va a Verona dal Chievo, con il Napoli che ospiterà una buona squadra come la Fiorentina e con la Juve che ospiterà il Crotone, entrambe alla ricerca della vittoria, chi per la matematica certezza dello scudetto, chi per agganciare Empoli e Genoa e salvarsi in extremis.

L’importanza di chiamarsi squali.

Il Crotone è chiamato ad un’impresa difficilissima (aiutatemi a dire difficile), cioè fare punti allo Juventus Stadium. Insieme ai tifosi pitagorici ci saranno le speranze romaniste (forse), quindi forza e coraggio.

Quel pizzico di pepe che può dare al Campionato la nostra vittoria.

Juve-Crotone avrà interesse per noi, se noi sapremo battere il Chievo il giorno prima. E’ una partita difficile su un campo per noi da sempre ostico. La partita è stata preceduta da una gran dose di polemiche, alimentata soprattutto da Preziosi (presidente del Genoa), che ha criticato la non-contemporaneità delle partite, supponendo che se il Chievo portasse a casa punti,  Juve-Crotone sarebbe giocata dai bianconeri senza il necessario agonismo. Insomma bisogna correre e vincere per difendere la regolarità del Campionato di Serie A.

Monza 1988 (Enzo Ferrari, Alboreto, Berger e Senna)

Nel pieno della stagione di Formula 1, mi ritorna in mente il GP di Monza 1988. Con una McLaren dominante, guidata dai grandissimi Senna e Prost, alla Ferrari  di Berger e Alboreto restano le briciole. Monza  e il GP d’Italia è però la casa della Ferrari, che piange la scomparsa del suo fondatore, Enzo Ferrari. Senna comanda la gara seguito da Prost, terzo Berger, quarto Alboreto. Poi succede l’imponderabile. Forse sarà stato Enzo Ferrari (e anche noi possiamo richiamare Dino Viola e Franco Sensi) dal cielo, ma prima esce Prost e poi esce Senna in un incidente con Schlesser (pilota della Williams solo per quella gara).  Vince Berger e secondo Alboreto: doppietta Ferrari. I meno fatalisti e sognatori fanno notare però che il vantaggio di Senna stava incredibilmente scendendo (nonostante la McLaren quell’anno era migliore della Ferrari). Berger stava chiedendo e ottenendo più di quanto la macchina avrebbe potuto perchè dietro Alboreto correva anche  di più. Insomma Alboreto faceva correre di più Berger e mise una pressione insostenibile per il pur grande campione che era Ayrton Senna. La Roma deve fare lo stesso. Deve correre e vincere per fare in modo che il giorno dopo Juve-Crotone sia una partita regolamentare e il Crotone sia capace di trovare risorse, che non sa di avere e riuscire in quello che sarebbe “il miracolo allo Juventus Stadium“.

Vincere per il secondo posto.

Aldilà di questi discorsi, noi dobbiamo vincere per difendere il  secondo posto. Secondo posto che potrebbe essere ipotecato già da sabato sera se la Fiorentina prendesse punti, importanti per l’Europa League, al San Paolo di Napoli.

Il Chievo gioca con un 4-3-1-2 con Birsa dietro le punte. Birsa è il giocatore chiave del loro gioco, pericoloso sulle punizioni dal limite e bravo nel fare la linea dei 4 nel 4-4-2, atteggiamento che hanno i mussi volanti quando difendono. Cercheranno soprattutto difesa e contropiede. In difesa non hanno un vero playmaker, con Frey, un terzino adattato centrale difensivo (ma da non sottovalutare in questo ruolo) e Cesar, molto duro nei contrasti e nel complesso molto falloso. Sia Cacciatore che Gobbi spingono, forse meno bravo nella fase difensiva è Gobbi. Radovanovic è il playmaker con Castro che lo aiuta nel palleggio e Bastien che gioca soprattutto sulla fascia sinistra. Pellissier e Inglese sono due prime punte. Possono cercare il fallo per far alzare la squadra in costruzione di gioco. Quando attaccano, vanno coperti con concentrazione.

E’ una partita difficile. Noi dobbiamo vincere per noi e per difendere la regolarità del Campionato. Andiamo a vincere! Daje Roma!

He has to run and win to make sure that the next day Juve-Crotone is a regular game and Crotone is capable of finding resources that he does not know he has and succeeds in what would be “the miracle at the Juventus Stadium.”

Winning for second place.

Beyond these speeches, we have to win to defend the second place. Second place that could be mortgaged already from Saturday evening if Fiorentina took points, important for the Europa League, at San Paolo in Naples.

The Chievo plays with a 4-3-1-2 with Birsa behind the forwards. Birsa is the key player in their game, dangerous on limiting punishments and good at making the 4th in the 4-4-2, attitude that mussi volanti have when they defend. They will, above all, seek defense and counterattack. In defense they do not have a real playmaker, with Frey, a central defensive midfielder (but not to be underestimated in this role) and Cesar, very tough in contrasts. Both Cacciatore and Gobbi push, perhaps less good at defensive stage is Gobbi. Radovanovic is the playmaker with Castro who helps him in the control of ball and Bastien plays mainly on the left side. Pellissier and English are both central forwards. They can search for a foul to raise the team under construction. When they attack, they should be covered with concentration.
