The wrong rules to overcome and the right ones to follow. Everton-Roma 0-1. Neom.
Since the early 1980s, Roma has no longer been the Rometta. Yet it's considered such by Juventus, Inter, and AC Milan fans. Or at least that's what they say to feel superior. We're like the rich bourgeois who bought a golf club membership and whose humble origins are mocked by the nobles, often less wealthy than him. Roma is always one step away from becoming a great club without ever quite managing it. It almost seems like a universal rule, but it isn't.
Likewise, Bin Salman and Leo XIV must overcome the obstacles that prevent modern religions. Likewise, it's nowhere written that the world must always support Israel. If Israel commits massacres, it's right not to sell it any more weapons.
The match against Everton had a good feeling, especially in the second half. Perhaps the starting right flanker, at least for the first few games, should be Rensch, not Wesley. Dovbyk did well to force himself to play on the left-center attack, even shooting with his right foot. But having two left-footed strikers like Dovbyk and Soulé (a wonderful goal) at the same time could be a problem when the games get tough.

Everton are in serious trouble. I predict they'll be embroiled in the relegation battle. They absolutely must make progress in attack. They've missed some very easy chances. Now we face Neom in Frosinone (Saturday at 5:00 PM, live on DAZN). the very rich Saudi club in the city that doesn't exist, recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League, has many important players among its ranks such as the striker Lacazette, who already made us cry in 16-17 with Lyon, and an important coach like Galtier.
Mohamed Bin Salman is the Crown Prince and Regent of Saudi Arabia, but not only that. He is a religious leader for millions of Sunnis. Every small victory in Saudi Arabia's rights influences millions of Arabs and Muslims around the world. Bin Salman is an absolute monarch, but he is not free like Louis XIV (who rightly said "l'etat c'est moi") and, in general, kings before the Enlightenment and the various bourgeois revolutions. He must take into account the Council of Elders, which is often very conservative. But this conservatism, these still tribal rules that Saudi Arabia has, must be overcome, as when it decided to allow women to drive. It's time for Matteo Renzi's prophecy to come true. A new Renaissance for Saudi Arabia and therefore for Islam, founded on political, religious, and sexual rights.

Officially, another absolute monarch and religious leader is the Pope. Like Bin Salman, the Pope is not a free man, but must reconcile the various factions among the cardinals. These are often also very conservative. This is why some illogical laws remain in place, such as the vow of chastity for priests and the rejection of homosexuality. And this is why mysticism is in crisis in the West and atheism is on the rise, just as rejection of Islam is growing in the East.
One of the strongest arguments against atheist religions is, "For millennia, religions have been justifications used by the powerful to make the people go to war." In short, as Karl Marx said, religion is the opium of the people. But let's see what Judaism, one of the oldest religions, actually says, used as justification for massacres.
No Jewish prophet ever said that all Palestinians should be deported. The teachings of Judaism are very different from massacres and provocations against other religions, as that charlatan Ben Gvir, a far-right politician, claims. Judaism teaches that Jews, after the destruction of Solomon's Temple, should not have a state, but should spread throughout the world to speak about Judaism peacefully and nonviolently. The diaspora is contextualized in the Jewish religion. So what about Israel? According to Judaism, Israel must be born when the Messiah arrives and will be a source of peace for the world. Israel means the Promised Land and should be a sort of Paradise on Earth, but here it doesn't seem to me that there is either a Messiah or that Israel is a source of peace.
Israeli Judaism is a secularized religion in a negative sense, just like the so-called Islamic State. It embodies evil and cruel acts, such as aiming a high-precision rifle at children. It does not embody rights, freedom, or democracy, and in fact, Netanyahu wants to transform Israeli democracy into an authoritarian state devoid of rights and democracy. All religions, including Judaism, teach respect for others.

So the Judaism of unscrupulous politicians, with blood on their hands, like Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich, has nothing to do with true Judaism. What the rabbis say is very different. Orthodox Jews are men of peace. That's why they refuse military service. But my analysis isn't theological. For me, it's right that Israel exists and has the right to defend itself. Perhaps, for God's sake, Israel should be a source of peace, as Jewish clerics say, and not a butcher state, as politicians claim. Israeli soldiers aren't disgusting butchers who unscrupulously kill children, and in fact there are psychological crises that lead to suicide(on the rise among israeli soldiers).
We Roma fans have often been close to a nervous breakdown. It all started with the Liverpool-Roma penalty shootout. It was then that many Roma fans' children became adults in a matter of minutes. Then came other disappointments. Lecce in 1986, Inter in the UEFA Cup final in '91, Torino in the Coppa Italia in '94, Slavia Prague, Sampdoria in '91, numerous European semi-finals, Sevilla in Budapest. Every Roma fan has had their Liverpool. It's time to write a new story. A winning story.
It's written in our name. We are destined to dominate the world as Rome did the Empire. The time has come to assert our name. Our colors. Our history. It's time to achieve glory.
Daje Roma!
