Peace in Gaza is a victory for Trump and the international community awaiting the Internazionale Milano.
I'm very happy that we're finally seeing some hope for peace in Gaza. This is mainly thanks to Donald Trump. The pressure from the international people, which staged massive demonstrations, was also significant. And speaking of the international people, we're going to face the Internazionale Milano.
So it looks like there will be peace in Gaza. This blog has always condemned Hamas and October 7th, but it's equally true that I can't understand how the world's best intelligence services could have let such a vast plan slip (strangely) at a time when Netanyahu needed a strong game-changer, given the Israeli people's protests against his authoritarian reforms and the judicial accusations of corruption.
The war, therefore, as we have said several times, was the reason why Netanyahu was in power, keeping in the majority the fascist parties of Ben Gvir and Smotrich, who have already said they are against the agreement, but Ben Gvir and Smotrich are very different.
Smotrich is a real criminal. He's someone who, if the wind changes, becomes the leader of a terrorist group. Ben Gvir is essentially a charlatan. He plays the most fascist of fascists because he sees the wind blowing that way, but if the wind changes, he changes sides.
My feeling is that Trump received a phone call from some Israeli general because a long-term occupation of Gaza would mean putting the lives of many Israeli soldiers at risk, prey to facilitated Palestinian guerrilla warfare in a place very hostile to the Israelis.
It's highly commendable that so many young people and families came out to demonstrate in support of Palestine. It was a humane choice, not dictated by personal issues but by simple and honorable altruism. If Israel kills all Palestinians, the economic situation of Italians won't worsen, but human beings of the 21st century feel they must do something when there's an injustice ("anywhere in the world," as Che Guevara said). And it was highly honorable that Trump forced Netanyahu to a peace table with Hamas. It's a peace that the Palestinian people, the Israeli people, the Italian people, and the international community in general requested. We did it.
Speaking of international football, let's study the tactics of our next opponent: Internazionale Milano.

Compared to Inzaghi, the only differences are that they have a greater propensity for attacking play and perhaps also for the man-on-man duels that Inzaghi sought at certain points. In fact, there are game situations in which they go for one-on-one.

The three central defenders often man-mark the attackers. So Ferguson or Dovbyk will have to win the matchup against that old fox Devrij or the other old fox Acerbi. Bastoni will man-mark Soulé or Dybala. And Akanji could man-mark Pellegrini or El Sha.

The build-up is Calha's turnkey solution (although Barella was also tested as a playmaker), who Pellegrini will have to rely on, but the defensive midfielders can also build.
In summary, there are 3 situations we should pay attention to:
- Their favorite option is a cross from the wings. So our wingers will need to put in a great performance. Perhaps by choosing Celik as a right-back that is on fire.
- They're very dangerous on corners and crosses from free kicks because the three central defenders are very tall and Lautaro has incredible jumping ability. A great striker. Our Evan Ndicka will have to do a great job.
- Compared to last year, they're pressing harder and creating easy scoring opportunities. Our possession will be important, as we need to be quick and focused.
We are in an improving situation in world politics with peace in Gaza (and hopefully also in Ukraine, as Zelensky has long been calling for and for which Trump has worked hard) and with Roma, which is top of the table.
There are still very high, perhaps insurmountable, obstacles. Netanyahu must keep his word, as Trump demands, but he must also appease fascists like Ben Gvir and Smotrich, unless he forms a new majority with the left. Hamas has promised to release all the hostages, but then risks running out of cards in the negotiations.
You have to trust. If not the other side itself, you have to trust the various mediators: Al Sisi, Trump, and Al Thani.
Meanwhile, the fearsome Inter are coming to the Olimpico. It will take all the strength of the Roma fans to defeat this very strong opponent.
Daje Roma!
