Stuttgart. If you indulge a bully, you don't deserve the respect of those who oppose him, nor the bully himself. Torino-Roma 0-2.

Europe must maintain a strong and independent position from the US at least until there is a chance to remove Trump (probably after the midterm elections), just as it is imperative for Roma to demonstrate courage against a strong Stuttgart in the same way we beat the Turin bulls.

Sebastian Hoeness's Stuttgart play with a 442 pressing and attacking style. They apply a suffocating pressure and can win the ball back high up the pitch.

The reference midfielder is Stiller, who often places himself between the central defenders during the build-up phase.

They're particularly dangerous when playing down the wings. In fact, the build-up moves toward left-back Mittelstadt, who then connects with Fuhrich, who should be replaced by Soulé or Dybala and Wesley or Celik.

They can also create chances on their right with Vagnoman's cross to the pyrotechnician Demirovic or Undav, or with right winger Leweling (very attacking and very technical), who will have to be caught by Hermoso. Leweling is very free in his positioning and must also be marked by other defenders.

On corners they position themselves man-to-man with 3 men in a zone at the near post.

We're coming into the match against a strong Stuttgart side after (finally) defeating Torino, in their only home game, no less. This shows that we could have done better in our previous matches.

It must be said that the decisive factor in the match was Doniell Malen, a new signing who was unable to be used in the previous matches (and will not be available against Stuttgart). He scored the first goal, had another disallowed for offside (questionable), and on a couple of other occasions he engaged in a real duel with Torino's goalkeeper, Paleari.

Roma held the upper hand for much of the match. Torino responded with great force, but only briefly: only in the first fifteen minutes of the second half. Our defense performed well. Mancini, as usual, pushed forward and played a key role in the second goal, scored by our star player, Paulo Dybala.

La Joya also deserves a brief mention. He provided a delightful assist for Malen for the first goal, scored the Olives' second goal in the Martini match, helped with the build-up play, and was crucial in attack from his most comfortable position: on the center-right.

We have therefore defeated the bulls, which is the origin of the word bully, and all of this brings me back to that ABC commentator who, after Trump's first election, desolately declared, "A bully won." And how Trump governs the USA and the temporary state of the world is a reflection of this condition.

In America, there is a paramilitary force (responsible only to the President and therefore with absolute power) that is instituting fascism in Minnesota. The world is in chaos. NATO is shattered, with Europe, always the US's best ally, stabbed in the back and forced to defend itself, while dictatorships like Putin's Russia are viewed by Trump almost with admiration for the unchallenged power they wield.

How do you react? The first reaction is panic. Trump is a bully and leads the militarily and economically most powerful country. He has the best-trained army. His weapons are equipped with the most advanced technology. The American economy supports the global prosperity. But pandering to a bully means losing the respect of those who oppose him, and even of the bully himself. Even Giorgia Meloni's Italy, which has always supported Trump, needs to reflect on this.

If you always submit to a bully, you'll be destined to become increasingly defeated. However, when faced with a bully, you must also be capable of raising your voice. Europe has ample opportunities, and a bold response to Trump's unscrupulousness is advisable. For example, we could threaten to sell US Treasury bonds. Similarly, Roma showed courage at the Stadio Grande Torino, and the same courage will be needed against Stuttgart.

Daje Roma!
