Let's believe it. Fiorentina. Bologna-Roma 0-2.

After the victory in Bologna, we'll face Fiorentina. These matches come at a time when football is being rocked by a judicial investigation into the top brass of the football system. I'm not surprised. I've long suspected that various clubs (particularly Inter and Napoli) are working politically on the top brass. I won't pass judgment now; we'll wait and see how the investigation unfolds.

Whatever decision is made, Roma must now get down to business to best face these final matches. Addressing the moment, as usual: with maximum effot on the pitch. A Champions League spot is difficult, but not impossible. Let's believe in it.

So, let's get to the match against Fiorentina. Let's not start with the assumption that it'll be easy. Let's start with the assumption that we have to earn it. If it's easy, even better.

They're playing with a double playmaker: Fagioli and Mandragora. They'll attack primarily from their right with Dodò and from the left with Ndour. I don't rule out the possibility of the starting 433 becoming a 424 with Ndour in the attacking line. Given Piccoli's injury and Kean's (almost) certain absence, they might deploy Gudmundsson as a false 9. In this case, pay attention to the suggestions made to the two wingers (who should be Harrison and Solomon). Note the reserve left back, Balbo, who is likely the son of our beloved Abel Balbo.

Fiorentina comes after another Apennine lion, Bologna. The away match was relatively uneventful. Bologna has no European aspirations and is not at risk of relegating to Serie B. The duel between Lucumi and Malen was decisive. Our center-forward demonstrated tactical intelligence and courage in his dribbling: he was the man of the match.

I didn't understand the Roma fans' pessimism about the Champions League spot before the trip to the Dall'Ara, and I even more so now that we're only three points away from the crucial spot. It's certainly not easy. Juve are certainly the favorites. But it's our moral duty, and out of respect for our human and technical qualities, to fight until the end.

Daje Roma!
