Perugia – Roma 1-3

La Roma vince a Perugia contro un avversario che ha ambizioni di andare in Serie A, ma che per qualità tecnica è ancora un gradino sotto le più deboli della massima serie italiana.

Dzeko è stato decisivo per il gol, per la presenza possente in fase di costruzione e offensiva. Se se ne dovesse andare, non credo sia facilmente sostituibile. Nel secondo tempo, Schick ha giocato bene. Bravo nel dribbling, ma ancora poco deciso con il tiro. Mancava poi l’opzione del lancio lungo su Dzeko, che molte volte nella scorsa stagione ci ha tolto le castagne dal fuoco. Paradossalmente per questo siamo stati più bravi nella costruzione dal basso, anche per l’ottima prova di Nzonzi. Questo aspetto è stato sottolineato anche da Fonseca. Pensa di confermare Nzonzi? Se così fosse nessuno deve contestare questa scelta, nè i dirigenti (compreso Petrachi), nè, a maggior ragione, i tifosi. Ottima la prova di Mancini (2 gol), che ha dimostrato di essere anche un’arma offensiva sui calci d’angolo. Siamo stati bravi nel pressing. Tenendo conto che l’avversario aveva una qualità tecnica molto minore di noi e che siamo ancora in una fase molto primitiva, il giudizio complessivo è positivo.

Adesso dobbiamo essere pronti per i francesi del Lille, che significa un ulteriore aumento della difficoltà della sfida. Anche loro sono in fase di mercato e hanno appena venduto Pepè. Rimangono, in ogni caso, una squadra molto valida (hanno uno dei giocatori che mi è piaciuto di più nello scorso precampionato, ossia Weah, figlio nobile di George, presidente della Liberia e ex-attaccante fortissimo del Milan, che ci punì anche con una doppietta). Se giocheremo con la stessa mentalità che ho visto col Perugia, con coraggio, determinazione e concentrazione, potremo vincere. Daje Roma!

If this were the case no one would have to challenge this choice, neither the managers (including Petrachi), nor, a fortiori, the supporters. Mancini had an excellent test (2 goals), which proved to be also an offensive weapon on corner kicks. We were good at pressing. Taking into account that the opponent had a much lower technical quality than us and that we are still in a very primitive phase, the overall judgment is positive.

Now we need to be ready for the French of Lille, which means a further increase in the difficulty of the challenge. They too are in the market stage and have just sold Pepè. In any case, they remain a very good team (they have one of the players that I liked the most in the last preseason, that is Weah, noble son of George, president of Liberia and ex-strong Milan striker, who also punished us with a double).
