Tante domande. Poche risposte. Many questions. Few answers.

Partiamo da un concetto semplice: la salute viene prima di tutto (come diceva Nino Manfredi). Il primo problema, che anch’io avevo sottovalutato, è quello sanitario. Poi servono soluzioni economiche veloci per la crisi economica in atto. Infine dobbiamo trovare soluzioni per la Serie A e gli altri campionati, anche pensando di rimandare l’Europeo 2020, per salvare la regolarità dei campionati e delle competizioni europee. E’ un campionato dimezzato se finisse adesso: ipotesi molto plausibile. Intanto nel resto d’Europa continuano normalmente, ma siccome si sta parlando di un problema internazionale ed europeo, serve una regia internazionale come sosteneva anche il mio amico, @mar_aie.

Domande. Con le decisioni attuali è giusto continuare CL ed EL? Come fanno i clubs italiani a continuare queste competizioni? Se il campionato finisce oggi, è giusto assegnare lo scudetto? Al limite sarebbe giusto assegnarne 1/2, ma in ogni caso si finirebbe il campionato senza nemmeno lo scontro diretto di ritorno, Juve-Lazio e nonostante odi la Lazio, sarebbe ingiusto negargli la possibilità di giocarsela. E poi la Coppa Italia a chi la assegniamo? Al Napoli? Visto che è l’unica ad aver vinto la semifinale d’andata. Sarebbe comunque ingiusto. La stessa Inter ha ottime possibilità di vincere, visto che vincendo il ritorno a Napoli, avrebbe poi la finale a San Siro. Ma la stessa zona Champions sarebbe molto discutibile. l’Atalanta deve ancora affrontare le prime 3. Chi ci dice che Juve, Lazio e Inter non caleranno in maniera disastrosa? Ma anche il quinto posto della Roma è ingiusto, visto che Napoli e Milan stavano recuperando ed è ingiusto negare al Cagliari il sogno europeo. Ma il problema più grande sono le retrocessioni con squadre che, finendo oggi con l’aggravio di andare in Serie B, rischierebbero il fallimento. Potremmo a questo punto non retrocedere in Serie B nessuno. E allora è giusto non far salire in Serie A il Benevento, che sta stravincendo il campionato di Serie B con 69 punti in 28 giornate?

Quindi che fare? Per questo, non annullare, ma rimandare e mi roderebbe lo stesso per aver perso l’EL senza giocare (se non verrà rimandata), ma davanti ad una situazione emergenziale come quella che stiamo vivendo e dato che queste decisioni del Governo sono condivise dall’OMS che è la massima autorità in materia, è giusto sospendere (momentaneamente?) il campionato, anche perché l’Europeo non si sa se ci sarà e alle Olimpiadi non partecipiamo, quindi potremmo recuperare tra luglio e agosto (rinunciando ai play-off di Europa League) o decidere le varie posizioni di classifica con mini-tornei uno per lo scudetto, uno per la zona-Champions, uno per l’Europa League e uno per la zona-retrocessione. Sto completamente fantasticando, ma una situazione emergenziale vuole soluzioni emergenziali e il calcio ha varie possibilità per decidere vincitore e classifica (ad esempio coi play-off).

Adesso dobbiamo essere tutti uniti (ma tenendo le debite distanze), seguendo le direttive dell’OMS, del Ministero della Sanità e dell’Assessore alla Salute della nostra regione. Questa è la partita più importante (di più di una finale di Champions) e tutti insieme possiamo vincerla. Daje noi!

Questions. With current decisions, is it right to continue CL and EL? How do Italian clubs continue these competitions? If the league ends today, is it right to award the championship? At the limit it would be right to assign 1/2, but in any case the league would end without even the direct second leg match, Juve-Lazio and despite hating Lazio, it would be unfair to deny the opportunity to play it. And then who do we assign the Italian Cup to? To Napoli? Since it is the only one who has won the first leg of the semifinal. It would still be unfair. Inter itself has excellent chances of winning, since winning the 2nd leg in Naples would have the final at San Siro. But the Champions League area itself would be highly questionable. Atalanta has yet to face the top 3. Who tells us that Juve, Lazio and Inter will not fall disastrously? But Roma’s fifth place is also unfair, given that Napoli and AC Milan were recovering and it is unfair to deny Cagliari the European dream. But the biggest problem are relegations with teams that, ending today with the burden of going to Serie B, would risk failure. At this point we could not demote anyone to Serie B. So is it right not to bring Benevento up in Serie A, which is winning the Serie B championship with 69 points in 28 days?

So what to do? For this, do not cancel, but postpone and I would be gnawed at the same for having lost the EL without playing (if it will not be postponed), but in front of an emergency situation like the one we are experiencing and given that these government decisions are shared by the WHO which is the highest authority on the matter, it is right to suspend (momentarily?) the league, also because the Euro 2020 does not know if there will be and we do not participate in the Olympics, so we could recover between July and August (giving up the play-offs of Europa League) or decide the various ranking positions with mini-tournaments, one for the Scudetto, one for the Champions League zone, one for the Europa League and one for the relegation zone. I’m completely daydreaming, but an emergency situation requires emergency solutions. and football has various possibilities to decide winner and standing (for example with play-offs).

Now we must all be united (but keeping the necessary distances), following the directives of the WHO, the Ministry of Health and the Councilor for Health of our region. This is the most important game (more than a Champions League final) and we can all win it together. Daje noi!
