Roma – Inter 2-2

We did a very good game. I am satisfied for the team’s performance, but not for the score. Paulo Fonseca

Good start then De Vrij's goal changes inertia. We are good at overturning it with goals from Spinazzola and Mkhi, then too tired and too naive. Spinazzola's error is very serious, but we were so tired and he was not the only one to make mistakes. When the opponents press, you have to pass the ball forward. We have often attempted construction from behind. Perhaps above all in the last minutes it was the case to throw on Dzeko which has the majority of duels won on long throw against De Vrij (5-3). And then we had to shoot more. We are looking for the last pass too much and there was no need. Handanovic is not in perfect shape and this is demonstrated by the many wrong exits (especially on the corners).

Certainly that kind of mistake must never be repeated or at least we must not repeat it in Germany in the Europa League Final Phase.

We played well. Generally we did not run any dangers in defense (the goals came from a corner kick and a penalty: the only two Inter's shots). Well the offside line. We managed to build from below, beating the opponent's pressing many times. Maybe in the last few minutes when we were in the lead, we could have thrown more on Dzeko. Overall, it was a good performance. Especially good Ibanez, Dzeko, Mkhi, Diawara and Spinazzola (who despite the error played generally well).

Now head to SPAL. The Ferrarese are already demoted and therefore play more carefree, but we must keep AC Milan at a safe distance (+2), to avoid the Europa League play-offs. In general, the feelings are positive, but the same commitment that we put with Inter, we must put it with SPAL to win. Daje Roma!
