Napoli – Roma 4-0

Little to say. Right defeat. The heavy score deserved. My reading was wrong: I didn't stress that we had to attack on our right, their left. Veretout and Mancini's injuries weighed on the game, but they are no justification. We could and should have done better.

If we always and only attack on the left with Spinazzola and Mkhi, we are too predictable. Often there was Karsdorp completely alone, we were looking for him a little and when we were looking for him, we didn't aim for Mario Rui, who is the weak point in the defensive phase.

We were very insufficient in the defensive phase. If you let your opponents build without pressing, then they can attack many times very easily. If midfield and attack press, the defense must rise to anticipate the opponents. But just think that they played with 3 little guys in front, so they had to go out of defense on the ground.

Noi adesso dobbiamo ripartire. Ci vuole ben altra partita già giovedì con lo Young Boys, quando giocheremo a casa, e poi con il Sassuolo domenica. Abbiamo le carte per vincere in entrambi le partita (compreso lo YB con cui ci basta un pareggio). Ritengo troppo presto per letture troppo negative. Ci troviamo a -6 dal primo posto (Milan) con tante altre avversarie agguerrite. E’ stata una giornata no, ma dobbiamo trovare la forza dentro noi stessi per rialzarci e combattere anche per gli obiettivi più alti. Daje Roma!
