L’avversario di mercoledì: il Liverpool. The opponent of wednesday: the Liverpool.

Ripetere l’impresa è difficile ma il fatto che ci siamo già riusciti ci dà speranze. Non siamo nelle semifinali di Champions per caso e i due gol a Liverpool ci danno speranze anche se per una rimonta molto, molto difficile. Io personalmente ho sensazioni contrastanti per una partita importante, molto suggestiva e difficile: ho la morte nel cuore, l’angoscia (ma l’avevo pure prima della partita col Chelsea), ma qualcosa mi dice che portiamo a casa una serata magica da sogno. Tatticamente, possiamo fare possesso-palla, dominare la partita e saper colpire, anche se ci vorrà attenzione soprattutto nella fase di costruzione di gioco perchè loro faranno pressing. Possiamo variare i calci d’angolo, sia calciandoli con effetto verso la porta (come ha detto più volte l‘ex-calciatore e opinionista di Roma TV Scarchilli), sia sfruttando la nostra media maggiore altezza. Dovremo capire da subito il metro arbitrale per sapere come regolarsi sul contrasto.  E’ una rimonta difficilissima, ma Roma, l’Olimpico e la Roma hanno spesso dimostrato di potercela fare. Regaliamoci questo sogno. Regaliamoci il nostro sogno. Coloriamo la città. Coloriamo lo stadio. Stanotte potrebbe essere magica.

La situazione tattica del Liverpool non è cambiata molto dall’andata. La lettura che feci una settimana fa è ancora valida, aggiungendo qualche dettaglio per una maggiore fruibilità del testo e per studiare meglio l’avversario.

Il Liverpool gioca con il 433.  E’ una squadra dinamica con molto agonismo e pressing. Non è molto ragionata la costruzione di gioco. Non fanno molto possesso-palla. Fanno soprattutto difesa e contropiede a sfruttare la velocità di Manè e Salah. Di solito lanci lunghi per l’egiziano (prima opzione) o per il senegalese, soprattutto per trovare l’uomo sul filo del fuorigioco. Non hanno una vera prima punta. Giocano con Firmino falso 9. Di solito giocano davanti con Salah-Firmino-Manè. Salah può giocare anche punta centrale. Firmino è molto forte sul dribbling e sull’assist, dove arrivano molto veloci Manè e Salah. Le due punte esterne sono fortissime perché molto, molto veloci, ma non hanno il tiro come talento principale. In contropiede sono pericolosissimi. Per superare il pressing spesso concentrato su un  lato, si possono usare i cambi di gioco. Sono molto bravi nel pressing (soprattutto Salah).  Giocano  soprattutto recupero – verticalità.  Milner aiuta Henderson (il playmaker) nel palleggio, ma è bravo anche nel recupero palla e nell’inserimento.  Non sono fortissimi in difesa e sono insufficienti sui corner. Virgil Van Dijk è un difensore ruvido, pericoloso sui calci d’angolo, falloso e non ottimo nel controllo palla. Alexander Arnold è il terzino destro, molto offensivo, batte molto bene i calci d’angolo da sinistra.Potrebbe andare in difficoltà se attaccato con constanza Portiere (Karius) non fortissimo, su calcio d’angolo può uscire. Momò (nostra vecchia conoscenza) è il giocatore più pericoloso del Liverpool e più in forma non solo del Liverpool, non solo dell’Inghilterra, ma del mondo intero. Ci vuole velocità e concentrazione su di lui.

E’ una delle partite più importanti della storia della Roma. E’ la più importante degli ultimi 30 anni, ma per affrontarla in modo degno, vincere e andare a Kiev dobbiamo semplicemente giocare come sappiamo. Portaci a Kiev,  Roma. Daje Roma!

Liverpool’s tactical situation has not changed much since the first leg. The reading that I made a week ago is still valid, adding some details for a greater usability of the text and to better study the opponent.

Liverpool plays with 433. It is a dynamic team with a lot of competition and pressing. Game building is not very reasoned. They do not make much possession-ball. Firmino is very strong on dribbling and on the assist, where Manè and Salah arrive very fast. The two side forwards are very strong because they are very, very fast, but they do not have the shot as the main talent. On the counterattack they are very dangerous. To overcome the pressing often concentrated on one side, you can use the side changes. They are very good at pressing (especially Salah). They mainly play recovery – verticality. Milner helps Henderson (the playmaker) in the passing game, but is also good at recovering ball and insertion. They are not very strong in defense and are insufficient on corners. Virgil Van Dijk is a rough defender, dangerous on corners, fouler and not very good in controlling the ball.
