Sassuolo – Roma 0-1 e verdetti della Serie A. Sassuolo – Roma 0-1 and judgements of the Serie A.

Abbiamo avuto gli ultimi verdetti del campionato 2017-18:

l’Inter (Lazio-Inter 2-3) va in Champions grazie ad una vittoria rocambolesca e difficile (De Vrij non doveva giocare non per malafede, ma perchè era una partita troppo difficile psicologicamente per lui), riscattando il 5 maggio 2002 (quando all’Olimpico con la Lazio perse partita e scudetto a favore della Juve). Per i nerazzurri è una vittoria importante soprattutto economicamente perchè il prossimo anno, con la partecipazione al più prestigioso torneo del mondo, guadagnerà almeno 50 milioni;

Il Milan (Milan-Fiorentina 5-1)evita l’insidia dei preliminari di Europa League (vedremo poi quale sarà la decisione della UEFA sulla partecipazione dei rossoneri al torneo), arrivando sesto e avendo la possibilità di giocare le contemporanee partite dell’International Champions Cup, con un guadagno stimato di 2/3 milioni di euro [torneo a cui parteciperà anche la Roma che affronterà Tottenham, Barcellona (partita molto bella e molto significativa, soprattutto per loro che vorranno prendersi la rivincita) e il Real Madrid];

Il Crotone (Napoli-Crotone 2-1) retrocede in B insieme a Hellas Verona e Benevento. Mi dispiace per la città calabrese che ha dato i natali a Rino Gaetano, a Pitagora ed è allenata da un bravo e carismatico allenatore come Walter Zenga. L’ex portiere dell’Inter doveva fare un miracolo e ci è quasi riuscito. Ci tengo a sottolineare i due gol di Tumminello nel finale di stagione, in prestito al Crotone dalla Roma e ottimo prospetto per il nostro futuro. Siamo contenti invece per la salvezza, oltre che  della SPAL (SPAL-Sampdoria 3-1), del Chievo (Chievo-Benevento 1-0) e dell’Udinese (Udinese-Bologna 1-0), per il Cagliari (Cagliari-Atalanta 1-0) del mio amico Ryosaku.

Sassuolo-Roma è stata come un ultima giornata di scuola quando alcuni studenti sono impegnati nelle ultime interrogazioni in extremis e altri a lanciarsi gavettoni. Il Sassuolo era sicuramente salvo e con l’11esimo posto in tasca, senza poter ambire a di più. Nella scorsa giornata, la Roma aveva la Champions assicurata. Era importante vincere per i 5 milioni in più del Market Pool (anche se la situazione dei diritti televisivi nazionali è ancora in completo alto mare). La Roma, nonostante qualche distrazione di troppo soprattutto in costruzione di gioco (i famosi gavettoni di cui parlavo prima), ha meritato di più. Dzeko ha impegnato Pegolo con un tiro a effetto da fuori. Schick ha colpito il palo. Anche i neroverdi hanno avuto una grande occasione con Politano. In questa occasione è stato molto bravo Skorupski, che si è dimostrato portiere maturato per una buona squadra di Serie A, Bundesliga, Premier League e Liga (considerando solo i campionati più importanti). Manolas ha deciso la partita, ma anche l’esultanza moderata rientra in  un quadro di partita più da partita di calcetto fra amici, che da questione di vita o di morte.

In Serie A tra andata e ritorno, la Roma non è riuscita a battere solo 3 squadre: Inter, Juventus e Sampdoria. In Champions solo l’Atletico Madrid, che vincendo l’Europa League ha alzato le nostre possibilità di entrare in seconda fascia nel sorteggio della prossima Champions. Ora devono verificarsi 2 di questi 3 eventi: il Real Madrid deve vincere la Champions, il Benfica non deve arrivare ai gironi e/o il Basilea non deve arrivare ai gironi. In Campionato siamo stati la seconda migliore difesa (dietro alla Juve di soli 4 gol) e il quinto attacco. In fase di mercato,l’attacco può essere migliorato (anche se la Roma in attacco ha già diversi giocatori molto forti). Considerando le semifinali di Champions conquistate con quella magica notte contro il Barcellona, la valutazione è molto positiva. Per me. con un voto di 8,5/9 in Champions e di 6/6,5 in Campionato, la media è un 7,5, che anche se considerato da alcuni di voi un giudizio troppo basso, deve essere uno sprono a migliorare il prossimo anno, visto che abbiamo dimostrato più volte grandi capacità, che ci fanno essere consapevoli che possiamo portare a casa un trofeo anche molto prestigioso.
