We don’t need a hero

Il nostro club deve avere come primo giocatore i tifosi giallorossi. I favolosi e generosi tifosi romanisti devono suonare la carica dall’inizio alla fine della partita. Devono cantare più forte quando la squadra soffre o subisce un gol (sperando che capiti il meno possibile) e  devono alzare la bandiera e l’urlo quando la squadra attacca. Sono azioni che i tifosi romanisti, e soprattutto la Curva Sud, hanno sempre fatto e non ho dubbi che lo faranno ancora.

E’ normale che se uno dei nostri non sta giocando bene siamo un po’ restii a passargli il pallone, questa tendenza si trasforma in una vera e propria malattia molto comune nel campo competitivo, quando, soprattutto in una situazione di momentanea sconfitta, il giocatore che si ritiene che abbia più talento inizia a giocare completamente da solo, portando la squadra a peggiorare il proprio score. Non abbiamo bisogno di un eroe. Dobbiamo in ogni caso continuare a giocare come una squadra. Nessuno è colpevole da solo. Tutti sono responsabili. Vinciamo e perdiamo tutti insieme.

Legandomi al concetto di squadra e passando alle valutazioni tattiche, ci sono due considerazioni da fare: la prima è che possiamo sfruttare di più Dzeko non solo come bomber, ma anche come assistman, premiando gli inserimenti vicini alla porta di centrocampisti ed esterni d’attacco come se fosse un pivot nel basket. E’ per questo che voglio di nuovo sottolineare l’importanza dell’extra-pass, soprattutto in attacco, creando quel circolo virtuoso per cui “io faccio l’assist a te” “tu fai l’assist a me”. poi davanti al gol facile bisogna comunque tirare.

La seconda considerazione tattica è che possiamo sfruttare il nostro peso e la nostra altezza, possiamo entrare nei contrasti di più, possiamo fare più cross alti da calci di punizione, corner e quando attaccano i nostri terzini.

In Nazionale ha giocato poco Lorenzo Pellegrini, anche per via di una situazione fisica non perfetta. Florenzi ha giocato bene. Anche Under sta migliorando. Olsen si sta dimostrando un grande portiere. La sicurezza e la calma di Nzonzi è stata riconosciuta in un’intervista anche dal portiere francese Lloris. Schick ha segnato un bellissimo gol. L’Italia non è riuscita a qualificarsi per le Final Four di Nations League, ma ha mantenuto la categoria e andrà ai sorteggi degli Europei come testa di serie. Non si deve pensare che comunque la qualificazione sarà una passeggiata. Questo torneo ha mostrato parecchi squali anche nelle altre leghe e anche se probabilmente eviteremo la Germania, che ha il 10% di possibilità di affrontarci, non va sottovalutato nessun avversario.

Come ho scritto negli scorsi articoli, paradossalmente la Roma ha una situazione migliore in Champions che in Serie A. In questo ultimo periodo abbiamo fatto 3 vittorie, 2 pareggi e 1 sconfitta. Adesso dobbiamo puntare a qualificarci per primi nel girone di Champions, nonostante un avversario prestigioso e difficile come il Real Madrid, e vincere le prossime 4 partite in Serie A (tra cui la forte Inter all’Olimpico) prima di affrontare la Juventus. Sono convinto che sono obiettivi alla nostra portata ed è anche l’unico modo per metterci in una situazione degna delle nostre capacità tecniche e delle nostre ambizioni. Daje Roma!

Linking to the concept of team and passing to tactical evaluations, there are two considerations: the first is that we can exploit more Dzeko not only as a scorer, but also as an assistman, rewarding the insertions near the goal of midfielders and side forwards as if it were a central forward in basketball. That’s why I want to underline again the importance of the extra-pass, especially in attack, creating that virtuous circle for which “I assist you” “you assist me”. then in front of the easy goal you still have to shot.

The second tactical consideration is that we can exploit our weight and our height, we can enter more into contrasts, we can make more crosses high from free kicks, corners and when our full backs attack.

Lorenzo Pellegrini played very little in the national team, partly because of an imperfect physical situation. Florenzi played well. Even Under is improving. Olsen is proving to be a great goalkeeper. The safety and calm of Nzonzi was also recognized in an interview by French goalkeeper Lloris. Schick has scored a very beautiful goal. Italy has failed to qualify for the Nations League Final Four, but has maintained the category and will go to the draws of the Europeans as tete de serie.
