Roma – Atletico Madrid 0-0

E’ stata una partita complicata. Abbiamo giocato alla morte contro i colchoneros, che negli ultimi 4 anni sono stati per due volte vicecampioni europei (e forse è giusto definirli vicecampioni mondiali). Abbiamo sofferto tanto. Siamo stati fortunati tanto. Alisson (bravissimo) è stato un fattore. Sono stati un fattore anche la Curva Sud e l’Olimpico, dove ho sentito solo incoraggiamenti e nessun fischio. I romanisti hanno capito che era una sfida molto (aiutatemi a dire molto), MOLTO difficile e hanno sostenuto la squadra. La Roma, obiettivamente, non ha giocato bene. Se facciamo un confronto con la Roma dell’anno scorso, al momento siamo più deboli. Ma anche allo stadio, l’impressione è che il gioco di Di Francesco è molto diverso, da quello di Spalletti. Ci vuole tempo per capire i nuovi meccanismi, la nuova organizzazione di gioco, che alcuni, anche forti giocatori, come Strootman e Nainggolan, fanno fatica a capire. Forse è il caso di far giocare Pellegrini. Forse è il caso di puntare su un falso 9 (come lo possono essere Schick e Defrel), che su un centravanti vero come Dzeko. Forse è il caso di aspettare che questi meccanismi siano digeriti dai giocatori, compreso Cengiz che a quanto pare parla solo turco, ma è un ottimo giocatore. Forse è il caso che anche i senatori ascoltino di più l’allenatore, cercando di capire i movimenti che chiede. Insomma, aspettiamo. La Roma a tratti fa vedere un gioco migliore dell’anno scorso. Se questi sono i presupposti, presto vedremo una Roma più forte dell’anno scorso. Ora avremo Verona in casa, Benevento al Vigorito e Udinese in casa. Sono 3 partite da non sottovalutare, ma più facili di quelle passate. In queste partite si devono vedere passi avanti, in modo che quando andremo a Baku contro il Qarabag e a San Siro contro il Milan saremo pronti per far vedere la nuova Roma, quella 2017/18, targata Di Francesco.
