Roma – Juventus 0-0

In questa settimana abbiamo raggiunto la matematica per la partecipazione alla Champions 2018-19. E’ il quinto anno consecutivo che la Roma partecipa al più prestigioso e difficile torneo internazionale al mondo. Ciò significa che, nonostante in questi anni non abbiamo mai portato a casa un trofeo, c’è una costante e continua crescita ad alto livello (suggellata quest’anno dalla sfortunata (ahimè) semifinale con il Liverpool). Lazio-Inter sarà decisiva per l’ultimo posto in Champions. E’ una partita che sarà molto divertente per un romanista abituato al “calo delle braghe” biancoceleste davanti ai fratelli meneghini nerazzurri. Ora è da studiare, con i dovuti scongiuri, la possibile fascia del prossimo anno (o seconda o terza). Per essere nella seconda fascia, devono avvenire 3 di questi 4 eventi: il Real Madrid deve vincere la Champions, l’Atletico Madrid deve vincere l’Europa League, il Basilea non si deve qualificare per la fase a gironi (superando 3 turni preliminari), il Benfica non si deve qualificare per la fase a gironi (superando 2 turni preliminari).

Complimenti alla Juve per il settimo scudetto. Qualche decisione arbitrale discutibile (nonostante il VAR) la ha aiutata, ma non ci sono prove di sistemi corruttivi come fu nel 2006 (anche se la Juventus non ha mai dimostrato pentimento per quel periodo, che è un comportamento che fa insorgere qualche dubbio). Bravo l’arbitro che ha interrotto Samp-Napoli 0-2. Onore al Napoli per la bellissima stagione.

Per quanto riguarda la partita, nel primo tempo noi abbiamo fatto bene il pressing alto, poi siamo stati imprecisi nell’ultimo passaggio e nei tiri. In 10 minuti ho contato 4 falli del Ninja su Dybala. L’espulsione è stata giusta. Ma perchè questo atteggiamento? Voleva dare un segnale alla squadra? Ci vedeva poco in  partita? Voleva dare una scossa? O era semplicemente troppo nervoso? Sono domande che rimangono senza risposta, la sua espulsione è stata decisiva per il risultato finale. Poi quest’estate, quando avremo tempi più lunghi per ragionamenti più profondi, voglio fare un articolo in generale sul metro arbitrale italiano e internazionale e nello specifico cercherò di dare il mio contributo perchè i giudizi dei vari arbitri siano più uniformi tra di loro.

Ora testa al Sassuolo per onorare il nostro campionato, per prenderci il terzo posto e per onorare l’avversario (un atteggiamento troppo morbido e distratto sarebbe un umiliazione per il nostro competitor). Daje Roma!

In this week we have reached the math for participation in the Champions 2018-19. Lazio-Inter will be decisive for the last place in the Champions League. It’s a match’that will be very funny for a Romanist accustomed to the “fall of the braghe” biancoceleste in front of the Nerazzurri meneghini brothers. Now it is time to study the possible slot of the next year (or second or third). To be in the second slot we need 3 of these 4 event: Real Madrid must win the Champions League, Atletico Madrid must win the Europa League, Basel must not qualify for the group stage (winning 3 preliminary rounds), Benfica must not qualify for the group stage (winning 2 preliminary rounds.

Congratulations to Juventus for the seventh championship. Some questionable referee decision (despite the VAR) has helped her, but there is no evidence of corruptive systems as it was in 2006 (although Juventus has never shown repentance for that period, which is a behavior that raises some doubts). Bravo the referee who interrupted Samp-Napoli 0-2. Honor to Naples for the beautiful season.

Regarding the game, in the first half we did well the high pressing, then we were inaccurate in the last pass and in the shots. In 10 minutes I counted 4 fouls of the Ninja on Dybala. The red card was right. But why this attitude? Did he want to give the team a signal? He saw us little in the game? Did he want to give a shock? Or was he just too nervous? These are questions that remain unanswered, his red card was decisive for the final result. Then this summer, when we will have longer time for deeper reasoning, I want to make an article in general on the Italian and international referees and specifically I will try to give my contribution because the judgments of the various referees are more uniform between them.

Now mind to Sassuolo to honor our championship, to take the third place and to honor the opponent (a too soft and distract attitude would be a humiliation for our competitor). Daje Roma!
