La Roma pareggia con i bilbaini (ma era più giusta la sconfitta, visto che il rigore allo scadere non c’era e con il VAR non sarebbe stato concesso). La prestazione è stata deludente e non deve essere un alibi il turn-over per il prossimo incontro con il Real Madrid.

L’Athletic si è dimostrato il solito club pieno di garra e orgullo basco. L’atteggiamento è stato di pressing (almeno finchè giocavano in 11) e ci ha messo in difficoltà nella costruzione bassa. Ancora Diawara troppo moscio nei passaggi e Florenzi che ha difficoltà nel mantenere palla sul pressing. Nell’occasione del primo gol, la colpa non è solo di Diawara, ma anche di Mancini, che gli passa la palla troppo lentamente. Il guineano, come scritto nel postpartita di Lille, ha il piede intelligente e una buona intesa con Dzeko. Anche il secondo gol è arrivato su una costruzione sbagliata.
