AI and Como: some issues, some opportunities.
On the political front, we have focused on pressing issues such as the wars in Ukraine and the tragedy facing the Palestinians, yet the world keeps evolving, bringing with it new and compelling challenges. Artificial Intelligence is one of these—carrying both immense potential and significant dangers. Similarly, the upcoming match against Como poses a formidable challenge for Roma, but it also holds the promise of great satisfaction.
During a Twitter discussion, a user based their Islamophobic arguments on a Danish study (Rockwoll 2026) that had been cited by Grok—Elon Musk’s AI. I then asked Copilot (Microsoft’s AI) for its opinion. The result was that the study did not originate from a credible organization; the entity lacked scientific recognition, had no publications, and was not affiliated with any university.
This serves to demonstrate the immense power AI holds to shape political views. It can even possess a political consciousness that leads it to validate arguments—actually rooted in racism, xenophobia, and Islamophobia—and subsequently prompt the user to express them, simply because "AI says so, too."
This episode is unsettling and shocking. The only hope is that there will be various AIs, allowing for political plurality—politics being something that, by nature, cannot be an exact science. The alternative is the dictatorship of a single political mindset which, as we have seen, can lead to dangerous ideas and potentially catastrophic consequences.
The discussion ended with my interlocutor accusing me of cherry-picking—that is, selecting only what suited my argument (much as he had done himself). The reality is that both AIs were telling the truth: Rockwoll 2026 states that MENA (Middle East and North Africa) immigrants show clear statistics of higher crime rates, as Grok maintained; at the same time, Copilot was right to point out that Rockwoll 2026 has no scientific publications and is therefore not a credible source. The shocking and unsettling part is that the argument was no longer between me and my interlocutor, but between the two AIs.
There is always a majority shareholder who sets the political direction of the AI. This is certainly likely in the case of Grok, given that its owner, Elon Musk, holds very distinct far-right political views; unsurprisingly, Grok then fuels and validates far-right opinions.
As we have seen, one AI created a problem and another solved it, so predictions need not necessarily be pessimistic. For instance, in fields less open to debate—such as medicine—AI’s assistance can be decisive. The same applies to Como: it is a formidable obstacle, yet one that can be overcome. In both cases, success requires willpower: for AI, the resolve to rely solely on credible sources and adhere to the Truth; for Como, the determination to absolutely crush a truly tough opponent.
We have always said that there are clubs in Serie A better equipped to win the Scudetto. But we are strong. I want to play all our cards right up to the final match.
Como is a very strong team. They will push hard, especially during the first 15 minutes and the last 10. We will also need to stay focused during the first 15 minutes of the second half, when we tend to be a bit distracted. The amazing traveling Roma fans will need to lend a hand by chanting loudly during these periods of the match.

They play with a lot of possession and tend to dictate the game, but they are not perfect when forced to defend.

While their defensive game is slightly (and only slightly) lacking, they are incredibly strong in attack. Let’s take a closer look.

Indeed, when attacking, they look to create numerical superiority on the flanks—on the left with the addition of Da Cunha, and on the right with the addition of Nico Paz.
In our path, we are facing two very tough new challenges—AI and Como—that also offer great potential for growth. Let’s go out and defeat the Lariani.
Daje Roma!
