La Roma batte il grande Real Madrid all’Olimpico ai rigori e si aggiudica la Green Mabel Cup e un bellissimo bonsai.

Siamo migliorati nella costruzione di gioco. Bene Cristante e Pellegrini. Qualche volta, con precisi tocchi di prima, sconfiggevamo il pressing del Real e li prendevamo scoperti in difesa. Nella costruzione di gioco, Dzeko è stato fondamentale, vincendo molte volte il duello personale con Varane.

Abbiamo visto come Dzeko è stato fondamentale nella costruzione bassa, ma non solo. E’ stato bravo con gli assist, nel tiro e nel gol che poi lo ha premiato. Non so se è stata l’ultima partita del bosniaco con la Roma. In questo caso, sarà difficile sostituirlo, non tanto come centravanti puro, ma proprio per quel lavoro nella costruzione bassa, utilissimo alla squadra. Anche Zaniolo e Under sono due top-player. Quando dialogano sulla fascia destra, è arte, è poesia (come nel primo goal della Roma). Ma la poesia e l’arte sono più belli quando sono anche utili. Sono entrambi fondamentali per il presente e per il futuro.

Il Real Madrid è stato francamente deludente. In questa preseason, ha sconfitto solo Fenerbahce e Salisburgo. Troppo poco. Anche la difesa a 3 non ha convinto. Arriverà Neymar? E sarà la soluzione? Da quello che ho visto, i problemi sono soprattutto in difesa, non in attacco. Certo, deve cambiare qualcosa. Non mi sorprenderei, se, continuando così, ce la ritroveremo nell’Europa League nel marzo del 2020.

E’ un 2-2 molto diverso da quello con l’Athletic Bilbao. In quel caso, i gol furono episodici, frutto di atti individuali. Ieri abbiamo visto gioco di squadra. Playmakers che scelgono sempre in modo diverso, compagni che propongono più soluzioni. Abbiamo avuto tante occasioni. A lunghi tratti, abbiamo chiuso all’angolo il grande Real. Le premesse sono buone. Paragonando la partita di oggi (tenendo sempre conto che è pur sempre un’amichevole) con la doppia sfida di Champions della scorsa stagione, i passi avanti sono evidenti. Siamo sulla buona strada. Adesso (a meno di amichevoli last minute) prepariamoci bene alla partita col Genoa. Sarà avversario difficile che ha fatto un’ottima preseason (battendo Lione e Bordeaux) e un ottimo mercato ( prendendo Schone). Avversario tosto, ma alla portata grazie anche all’Olimpico che ci spingerà come al solito alla vittoria. Daje Roma!
