The Raya Casablanca. Islam. Our team. The Conf. League.

The Maghreb and Islam. Tackling a Moroccan team gives us a chance to talk about the Maghreb and Islam. Islam is the religion of one and a half billion people, with a very diversified use of religion from area to area. For example, in the Maghreb (the region of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia), Islam is much more libertarian (if you pass me the term Western) than that of the Middle East and Asia. For example, in Morocco it is easy to see women withouthijab, the veil, and it is state law that one can change religion in Christianity. So when a Pakistani kills a person, it is not right to call upon Islam in its entirety, perhaps by getting angry with a Moroccan. It is as if you are blaming an Italian for a massacre of an American. You realize that there is a lot of cultural difference between the US and Italy and in the same way between Pakistan and Morocco, although they are less famous. Even the terrorist acts and the self-styled Islamic State itself was a microbe compared to the Islamic world and it is unfair to condemn Islam or the single innocent Islamic citizen for a few thousand people with whom he had nothing to do. Also for this reason, the racism and anti-Islamic sentiment of those parties that make racism a flag (in Italy, the Lega and Fratelli d'Italia) must be fought, influencing a lot of people and especially the weakest minds who then turn theirs words into action. People like Massimo Adriatici who kill premeditatedly only out of racism and anti-Islamic sentiment must be condemned in an exemplary way, but above all cultural instigators such as Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni (respectively the leaders of the Lega and Fratelli d'Italia).

Don't make to others what wouldn'y been made to you.

Speaking of Islam, allow me to appeal to the Taliban, an Afghan warrior community very influenced by Islam, I hope they have an enlightened attitude and accept dialogue with the Afghan government, perhaps with the mediation of the US and Pakistan. Afghans are fervent Muslims, but after twenty years of war, they above all need peace.

It is right that Italy finally promulgates a law on ius soli for all those young people who were born in Italy, speak only Italian, go to schools in Italy and find themselves foreign (or even stateless) in their country. It is equally right that Italy should remain a secular country, as per the Constitution, without religious interference, even if, to tell the truth, in the case of Italy, the problem is the interference of the Catholic religion rather than the Islamic one.

Casablanca is a city of 4 million inhabitants. The largest city in the Maghreb and one of the largest in Africa. It has always been a very important commercial port for Morocco and for Africa in general, it is genetically open to all cultures. Certainly there are beautiful mosques like that of Hassan II with a 210m minaret. tall, but also churches such as La Notre Dame de Lourdes and synagogues. The open-mindedness of the Maghreb, of which we have spoken, is well represented by this multicultural, intelligent and beautiful metropolis.

Raya Casablanca is a club that has won numerous national and African titles. Its peak was in 2013 when it played in the final of the Club World Cup. Its main color is green. Play with 4231. The most talented (and highest paid) player is Soufiane Rahimi, left winger, mainly right, can be dangerous when he goes to center to shoot right.

Soufiane Rahimi

In these days we have sold Dzeko and we are about to sell Florenzi who, for us, has too high a salary and he is not happy to be in Rome (many greetings and goodbye). I honestly don't think the problem is the central striker, since in 4231 we already have two strong central strikers like Borja and Eldor. And if the idea is to try a 442 or a 4312, the purchase of another striker is necessary. The 4312 poses a problem that I have already talked about. Roma are in dire need of a midfielder, given that the only one, who is not a rookie (as are Darboe and Bove) and who is a natural midfielder (since Villar, Veretout and Cristante are mainly attacking midfielders), is Diawara. . Maybe Mancini could be used as a midfielder, but you would lose a great game builder in the role of central defender, also very useful in the defensive phase. For the rest, in the image below I tried to make suggestions. Zaniolo can be devastating as an attacking midfielder. Ibanez can also play as a left-back. The rookie Tripi seems ready for that role too.

Roma's opponent in the Conf. League playoffs will be Trabzonspor. They are a team of great technical quality, great speed, but a bit confusing as we remembered Gervy (their best striker). They are dangerous especially with (left-footed) Bakasetas' corner kicks from the right who makes a sort of very dangerous cross-shot (3/4 goals with Molde came from this situation).

The Raya Athletic Club is important to better prepare for the trip to the Black Sea. We must not underestimate the Turks, but we are stronger and we can also win easily. In a couple of days we will talk more thoroughly. Now let's think about this friendly. We think about winning. Daje Roma!
