Roma – Gent 1-0

Il risultato ci premia oltre i nostri meriti. Pressing non collettivo e non veloce. Quando lo facciamo bene, segniamo con Carles Perez, ottima la sua prestazione. Hanno giocato bene anche Cristante (specialmente quando si abbassava tra i due centrali), Fazio, Smalling, Santon e Dzeko (autore dell’assist).

La Roma ha sofferto in fase di costruzione. Non dobbiamo escludere a priori la possibilità di lanciare lungo su Dzeko. La prestazione è stata sufficiente solo per la prima mezz’ora. Passiamo troppo tempo fermi, sia in fase di possesso quando il portatore palla non sa a chi dare il pallone, sia in fase di non-possesso, quando gli avanti non pressano. Così è difficile dominare le partite come vuole Fonseca.

Ci giocheremo la qualificazione a Gent con un piccolo vantaggio. Assolutamente vietato pensare di difendere l’1-0, ma dobbiamo essere consapevoli che abbiamo due risultati su 3. Sarà importante segnare per primi là. Siamo ancora convalescenti, ma siamo in crescita (meglio rispetto a Bergamo quando avevamo giocato meglio rispetto contro il Bologna).

Questa crescita graduale deve continuare con il Lecce. Il Lecce è una squadra che gioca offensiva, con diversi calciatori di buona qualità. Si alza l’asticella della sfida e noi dovremo “saltare” ancora più in alto. La regola è sempre la stessa: lavoro, lavoro, lavoro. Daje Roma!

It will be important to score first there. We are still convalescent, but we are growing (better than in Bergamo when we had played better than against Bologna).

This gradual growth must continue with Lecce. Lecce is a team that plays offensive, with several good quality players. The bar of the challenge rises and we will have to “jump” even higher. The rule is always the same: work, work, work. Daje Roma!
