CSKA Sofia – Roma 3-1

Let's start by saying that the match did not matter, neither for us already qualified first, nor for the Bulgarians already eliminated. The defeat is the result of errors of inexperience of our young people, errors of superficiality and lack of motivation on the part of the elderly not used to the field. Throughout the game, Roma gave the impression that we could sting when we wanted. And simply (never as in this case) wanting was equal to can and it was equal to must.

Congratulations to the old reds from Sofia (not to be confused with the new reds from Sofia which are CSKA 1948 Sofia). They played very well, especially Sowe (scoring a double, ex-Chievo and ex-Juve Stabia) and Rodrigues (scoring the first goal).

In general, in the possession phase we were holding too much ball, especially Fazio, Diawara and Borja Majoral, who has to shoot a moment earlier to be dangerous forward. Carles Perez also always thinks too much about shooting and little about assist, although I'm happy to see him more present in the game. The insertions behind the defense line of Bruno Peres were rewarded more, as did the good Edin Dzeko for the goal with the YB.

I am especially sorry for the 3 goals Boer scored. The boy didn't deserve it. Today he honestly he could play better. Surely it is also the fault of a generally insufficient defensive line, especially in the construction (reason for the second and third goals of the Bulgarians). I hope he will have other opportunities to make up for it. I expect a lot from him. As I expect a lot from Milanese, who scored our only goal. The boy will evolve... Also if he has the strict shoulders... Like the De Gregori's song says. If continues in this way, a glorious future awaits him (i hop) in yellow red jersey.

The draws will take place in Nyon on Monday at 1 pm (broadcast in Italy by Sky). If we have the prospect of reaching the bottom, we will have to think of even stronger opponents such as the English (Arsenal, Leicester, Manchester United and Tottenham), the Germans (Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim), the Spanish (Villareal) and the other Italians (Milan and Naples). Even the opponents of the round of 32 are not to be underestimated, but to be faced by putting our maximum effort into the field. These are the possible opponents with an increasing number of stars due to the opponent's difficulty, the result of reasoning that I will then perhaps explain to you in the comments:

Antwerp***
Benfica****
Braga***
Dynamo Kyev***
Granada***
Krasnodar***
Lille****
Maccabi Tel Aviv**
Molde FK**
Olympiakos Piraeus**
Real Sociedad***
Red Bull Salzburg****
Slavia Praha****
Red Star Beograd****
Wolfsberg**

Now we must think only to Bologna: a good team, led by a great coach, but we can win them. Daje Roma!
