Borussia M’gladbach – Roma 2-1

La Roma perde in modo un po’ sfortunato contro il ‘gladbach per 2-1 (autogol di Fazio nel primo tempo, gol di Fazio nel secondo tempo e nel finale la rete di Thuram). La Roma non ha giocato male (bravi soprattutto Smalling, Pastore e Veretout), forse siamo arrivati un po’ stanchi alla fine e magari il pareggio ci soddisfaceva. Abbiamo avuto un paio di occasioni su l’1-1 che non abbiamo sfruttato forse perché siamo stati imprecisi al tiro, o forse perché non abbiamo cercato l’extrapass. Il gladbach in 2 partite ha avuto solo 1 occasione limpida, poi sfruttata, ma ha raccolto 4 punti, grazie a due errori arbitrali (quello macroscopico di Collum per il rigore all’andata e quello del fallo laterale precedente all’autogol di Fazio, anche se forse anche il gol di Fazio è in fuorigioco). Bisogna comunque considerare che i bianconeroverdi della Renania sono una squadra forte e in forma, attualmente prima in Bundesliga. Adesso il quadro si complica, anche se nulla è pregiudicato. Dopo la vittoria dell’Istanbul Basaksehir contro il Wolfsberger (0-3), la classifica è: I.B. 7, BMG 5, Roma 5, Wolfsberger 4. Abbiamo le capacità per vincere in Turchia e all’Olimpico contro gli austriaci.

Arriviamo sempre troppo stanchi alla fine delle tranche di 7 partite, anche se questa volta Fonseca è parzialmente giustificato dai tanti infortuni. Affrontavamo una squadra forte ed è anche abbastanza comprensibile la sconfitta. Ora però mettiamo tutte quello che abbiamo contro il Parma: una partita completamente diversa da questa, in cui dovremo affrontare difesa e contropiede veloce e non dominio del campo. Abbiamo qualità tecniche per vincere, ma dobbiamo giocare con coraggio ed essere concentrati fino alla fine. Daje Roma!

The gladbach in 2 games had only 1 clear opportunity, then exploited, but he collected 4 points, thanks to two referee errors (the macroscopic one of Collum for the penalty in the first leg and that of the lateral foul preceding the own goal by Fazio, also if perhaps Fazio’s goal is in offside). We must however consider that the whiteblackgreens of the Rhineland are a strong and fit team, currently first in the Bundesliga. Now the picture gets complicated, even if nothing is affected. After the Istanbul Basaksehir’s victory against Wolfsberger (0-3), the ranking is: I.B. 7, BMG 5, Roma 5, Wolfsberger 4. We have the skills to win in Turkey and at the Olimpico against the Austrians.

We always arrive too tired at the end of the 7-game tranches, even if this time Fonseca is partially justified by the many injuries. We faced a strong team and the defeat is also quite understandable. But now we put all we have against Parma: a completely different game from this one, in which we will have to face defense and fast counterattack and not domination of the field. We have technical qualities to win, but we must play with courage and be concentrated until the end. Daje Roma!
